Another Terry Schiavo

If you've been reading this blog lately, you know I've been doing some posts about the Christian and politics. And you already know that my position is that we are not here to whine about "our rights".

However, the scriptures do tell us to help those who cannot help themselves. Here is something to do some yelling about. If this doesn't sicken you, something is wrong. Very wrong.

This is just one more example of how our society is more and more willing to declare certain people "Obsolete", in slightly different terms, of course. The "unwanted prehuman" and the "post human" those who have supposedly outlived their "usefulness". In the case of this woman, apparently she is "Obsolete" because she has become dependent on others and therefore "serves no function". Remember the S.L.E.D.? Size, level of dependency, environment and development are elements of the pro-choice argument. And how convenient, it works at both ends of life, doesn't it?
