Abolish Human Abortion...unplugged...

So, make no mistake about it, I'm for the immediate ending of abortion. But this is no way to go about doing it. Fighting against the Body Of Christ for not meeting your organization's imaginary standards.

What they do is take the words of James in James 1:27...regarding "pure and undefiled religion"...replace "widows and orphans" with "the unborn"...then raise the bar so high that no-one can satisfy the definition of "pure and undefiled". And they will admit that they don't measure up themselves...but you better do more. And, of course, they don't do anything for actual widows and orphans...which the text actually mentions.

Physician, heal thyself. You figure out how much has to be done before God is pleased with you (Uhm, grace?) and then worry about others, ok?

They love picketing local churches. No matter how active in ending abortion that church may be. Doesn't matter.

...And now, they have turned their sights on R.C. Sproul's church.

Let Reformation Charlotte inform you....

Mark them. Avoid them. If you wish to be a part of a legit group in the effort to end abortion, I'd highly recommend "Babies are Murdered Here".

Jan Markell : RED-LETTER CHRISTIANS: NEO-MARXISM IN THE CHURCH?

Never thought I'd be reading something like this, but it would appear that evangelicalism knows no downward limits.

Look in the next to last paragraph for a statement on the NAE promoting a leftist conference on October 21st.

Read it and weep.

Rick Warren: Cone of Shame Award...

From "The Lawman Chronicles", I pass the following on to you....:

"Warren spoke yesterday to the annual Islamic Society of North America convention, in Washington, DC. Sadly, as expected, Warren failed to share the gospel. That, in and of itself, merits Warren's dubious distinction as a "Cone of Shame" recipient.

Reading several media reports regarding Warren's address, it appears that Warren continues to slide down the sinful and unbiblical slope of ecumenism and pluralism, as Warren unashamedly promotes his social gospel agenda.

Warren is quoted as saying, "I am commanded to love and I am commanded to respect everybody."

What Warren fails to realize is that the most loving thing he could have done for the thousands of lost people gathered to hear him speak was to speak the truth in love--to call Muslims to repentance and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Rick Warren, you don't love people as much as you claim to. If you truly loved Muslims you would lay down your secular popularity for the furtherance of the gospel. You would put their eternal destiny before your social agenda.

Sadly, Rick Warren belongs in the "Cone of Shame" because he continues to prove that false conversion begins in the pulpit, not in the pew."

Amen, Tony!

By the way, a "cone of shame enhancer" can be found here...Seems that "christian" "pastor" Warren doesn't have a problem afilliating with those who act forcefully against those investigating Islamic radicalism...Way to go Rick! At least now, some of your previously blinded followers might just wake up!

A quote from the above source: "Dave Gaubatz, a former Air Force special agent who has traveled the country investigating radical Islamist mosque and attempts at imposing Shariah law in the U.S., was forcibly removed from the conference after paying the $100 attendance fee. "

Hey, Rick? How do you defend this...as a so-called "christian" and as a so-called "pastor"?

The source for Tony's article is here. Thank you, Tony!

Rick Warren Goes Wahhabi

With everything else going on regarding Obama, it's been a while since we've seen a post about "America's Pastor", Rick Warren. But he's still out there, as problematic as ever.

Here's the text from Ingrid at Slice of Laodicea:

'“The Hour will not be established until you fight with the Jews, and the stone behind which a Jew will be hiding will say. ‘O Muslim! There is a Jew hiding behind me, so kill him.”

—Just one of the hate-filled quotes on the website for the Islamic Society of North America. Rick Warren will be speaking to their convention during the 4th of July weekend.

The Canadian Free Press is raising questions about Rick Warren that the Southern Baptist Convention refuses to. What in the world is Warren doing speaking at an Islamic Society of North America gathering? To preach Christ crucified? To rebuke them for their hatred of Israel and promise to destroy it? To speak out against the growing number of “honor killings” in North America? The Southern Baptist Convention leadership has given Rick Warren a free pass for far too long. Now the world has to come along and ask the hard questions.'

TODD FRIEL: A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE ROB BELL SAYS PUBLICLY PRACTICING HOMOSEXUALITY IS OK FOR CHRISTIANS

From Apprising Ministries:

"Recently in Emergent Church Theologian Tony Jones and his Unrepentant Homosexual Christians here at Apprising Ministries we covered the story of the coming out of a very influential leader and theologian in the Emerging Church who declared his belief that unrepentant practicing homosexuals can be Christians. And even though I vigorously disagree with him I do commend Tony Jones for caring enough, and being man enough, to clearly state what he believes on this issue.

Well, in this clip below from Way of the Master Radio Todd Friel discusses the hermeneutics used by Rob Bell, essentially the Elvis of the Emergent rebellion against Sola Scriptura, and predicts it won’t be long before the answer will be yes to the question asked here at AM: Will Rob Bell Now Follow Tony Jones Out of the Closet? We’ve already showed you in Saddleback Church Pastors Using Rob Bell Teachings we do know that Bell has gained a strong foothold within youth groups of mainstream evangelical churches.

Men and women, don’t you think it’s well past time that conservative Christians demand that Rob Bell, publicly and clearly, state where he stands on this criticial issue? Don’t you have a right to be told what your kids are being taught about homosexuality from one of the most popular names in the visible church? Perhaps the time is now to begin writing Mars Hill Bible Church to ask its teaching pastor Rob Bell where exactly it is he stands as to whether an unrepentant practicing homosexual can be a Christian.

I also know that if I was one who believed God fully accepted me as a Christ-follower in my homosexual lifestyle it would sure mean an awful lot to have men like Bell and his friend Doug Pagitt, who is also Tony Jones’ pastor, to go on the record in support. So, will Rob and Doug now also finally follow suit and stand up and be counted; or instead, will their seemingly caring posture be just that, a posture… "

TV Ad Features Obama Mocking the Bible

Remember now, Obama says he's a Christian. So that means he must be one, right? Never mind that Louis Farrakhan says he is the Messiah, which would open him up to Islamic Blasphemy charges if he's not referring to the Muslim Messiah.

Now, as I've posted before, I'm not putting a label of "AntiChrist" on Obama. Only the Lord will know until he is revealed openly to the world. But if Farrakhan is "right" about Obama, that he is the long awaited Muslim "messiah", then it follows that the converse label fits.

Just want to get that straight.

Anyway, back to the subject. Nothing like a "Christian" mocking the Bible, huh?

If you still believe Obama is a Christian and not a Muslim, I'd suggest you cut down on the drinking. . ..

Rick Warren: Playing Both Sides of the Gay Agenda

"Is the gay agenda simply just another pawn in Rick Warren's global Purpose Driven PEACE Plan? As a Southern Baptist pastor, does Rick Warren sympathize with homosexuality or does he refute it?

Apparently, it depends on what country Rick Warren is promoting his Purpose Driven PEACE plan. Let's take a look at Rick Warren's geographically-driven position on homosexuality. . .."

Oh yeah, here's another Saddleback moment in the making:

The New World Religion

From Christian Worldview Network:

"Brannon Howse: March 4

This program sounds like a movie script but it is real and you are seeing it first hand. Brannon said this was one of the most revealing and important radio program he has ever hosted. After years of research, writing and radio, the events of the past few weeks have revealed the merger of modern-day "Christianity" & evangelicalism. with the New Age Movement and Universalism. The players are assembled and are laying the groundwork for a world religion and a world leader as predicted in the Bible. This is happening fast and you are seeing what the Bible foretold thousands of years ago. Brannon interviews Ingrid Schlueter and you must listen now"

"If Grace Is True": Hear the hiss
Part 2

Carla over at "More Books and Things" was gracious enough to post a link to my overview of the heresy of "If Grace Is True". You might be interested in some of the other books she lists by these same two Quakers, at least one of which she found in a "Christian" bookstore. She also includes a link to one of the author's sites which details his beliefs. Consider it a heads-up.

Again, listen for the hiss!

And Carla? Thanks for the post. So here's my post which points to your post which points to my post.

If Grace is True: Hear the hiss

If you ever wanted to know what the hiss of Satan sounds like, all you have to do is look at the cover of this apostate book for an example.

Ok, so you may ask "what brought this on"? Well, we've had some visitors here that would promote this book. It's been out for four years that I am aware of, but it was news to these guys. And they have bought the lie even though it started right on the front cover.

As soon as I read the "review" quoted from Christianity Today, I knew something was up. As it turns out, I was right. Either CT had gone further 'round the bend or the cover was wrong.

See, this book is one of Satan's attempts to say "Jesus didn't die for our sin", "Everyone ends up in heaven in the end", and all manner of deception. In short, it makes wonderful material to start a fire to warm one's self on a cold winter's day. Other than that. . ..

Anyway, you don't even need to open the book to catch a lie, even if masked as a half truth. If you click on the picture, you will be able to read the "quote" from CT. If you will, notice the arrow points to a period at the end of the "quote". If you don't care to do so, I will quote what it says here:

"Gulley and Mulholland have done what many evangelicals and orthodox Christians more generally have failed to do: they have honestly faced the church's traditional doctrines of salvation and eternal justice." Period.

Sounds rather authoritative and scholarly, doesn't it? Sure! Sounds objective as well doesn't it? Absolutely!

Hold it a second. That's a period at the end of that though! Perhaps one would be wise to read the actual review from Christianity Today, wouldn't ya think? I'd hope so.

Well, if you click here, you'll get to the (rather milquetoast) review. In fact, you'll link to the second of two pages. Look for this at the beginning of the second paragraph:

"But [a connective which means something to the contrary was left out on the front of the book...tb] Gulley and Mulholland have done what many evangelicals and orthodox Christians more generally have failed to do: they have honestly faced the church's traditional doctrines of salvation and eternal justice, even if only to reject them." (Emphasis and italics mine)

Hold it! They replaced a comma with a period! And thus, they have distorted the review and made their theological poison more appealing by leaving off the words that would reveal the snare: "...even if only to reject them." (the traditional doctrines of salvation and eternal justice). And, as I've already embedded as a comment in the quote from the review, they blew off the word "but" which connects it to anything contrary to what they quoted. How convenient! This is the very definition of taking something out of context!

So, the net result is that the perspective reader/buyer is led to think that this book represents something objective and (implied) uniquely correct -- namely the thesis that God will save every person, and that CT concurs!

Did the authors know about this? How could they not? And the editors certainly did! But, don't ya know my silly ones. . .if you come out in the open and admit what you are teaching up front, you can't sucker 'em in!

Then of course, one must also wonder if Christianity Today had a problem with the selective quote of their review. . .

The book is rife with heresy. It is written by two Quaker pastors who want to teach, and have us accept, universalism. The CT today review, although anemic at best, at least admits that "two pastors make a case for universalism, and end up trivializing human freedom" and call it "a distorted predestination". See, according to these guys, you don't even have the freedom to refuse to go to heaven! Jesus said that "The gate is narrow and few will find it. . ." where these guys would say "The gate is so wide, you can't miss it even if you want to"! If these guys were to be right, it would mean that your local crooked judge would stand to be more just than God Himself! This is blasphemy!

The authors of the book were interviewed by a magazine which is online. I won't publish the link here because it is to a homosexual "magazine". Frankly, I don't care to provide easy access to that grade of material. However, if you really want to know what the link is, I will provide it to you via email. Just submit a comment to this post asking for it. It touts itself as "a magazine for GLBT Christians", which is an oxymoron. Be warned. I just happened to run across the article while I was doing research on the authors.

In the interview, Gulley states that "Jesus didn't die for our sins". Ok, Gulley, who did then? Mulholland states that "[the Church] did quite well" without a Bible for 300 years, even though the Church did have the scriptures from the beginning. . .they just weren't "ratified" as "the Bible" yet. That is a lie on the part of the magazine which was "confirmed" by co-author.

Hear the hiss?

The fact that Gulley and Mulholland are so far off is no surprise. Quakerism is into mysticism, experience and feelings over against objective truth. Feel a quiver in your liver? That's the Spirit of God!. . .or so they would have you believe. But how do you know? Answer: You don't. I can't stress this enough...There is no experience or feeling that is self-authenticating! All we have is God's Word to lean on.

No. I won't buy the lie. But apparently many (at least some who would comment on this site) are caught up in this. . . hook, line and sinker.

The only question I have is for Christianity Astray . . . sorry, Christianity Today, which would be "If a glbt oriented magazine can reveal what these guys do to substitutionary atonement and the character of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, why can't you?"

Which makes me wonder. Maybe this hiss-revealer was really a "two-fer"?

Gee, ya think?

I'm inclined to think so.

Contemporary Christianity: The Progeny of Charles Finney

Found this over at "Truth In Context":

As I have stated on this blog at least a few times, Charles Finney was a heretic. However, his views and approach to evangelism have continued on and have been adopted widely by Christianity. Even Moody Bible Institute, considered by many to be a bastion of orthodoxy, lionizes Finney. Don't think so? I would ask you to do a google on "Stories of Great Christians", which is produced and broadcast by MBI.

Unfortunately, Charles Finney's legacy is contemporary "christianity" with its shallow conversions, mass evangelism focusing on results based on emotional manipulation.

Let Charles Finney stand as an example of what happens when you "do religion" with unsound theology. Sound familiar?

"The Symptom" Revisited

It was back at Ted Haggard's downfall that I posted this missive. Turns out it drew a lot of attention -- and no small amount of controversy. Ken Silva, over at Apprising Ministries, had publicized it at his blog and it then got so much attention it was even referenced at the online version of Christianity Today.

The statement which started all the furor and blog commenting was "I'm sick and tired of being associated with a "Christianity" that does not seem to care one whit about holiness or obedience to God's Word. Let me say this as perfectly clear as I can: I believe that "Christianity" in America is nearly totally apostate. Why? We have abandoned the vision of the Holiness and Fear of God."

And I stand by that statement to this moment. In fact, even more so.

Contrary to what some blogs reported it as, it was a statement on the lackadaisical attitude in contemporary Christianity toward scriptural teaching and Biblical accountability. It wasn't a piece about "Ted Haggard has fallen", but a piece that clearly said "This is what you get when you get your eyes off truth and the application of it."

This is still true today. Since then, evangelicalism has drifted even further out into the "La La Land" of Warrenism, Emergent and seekerism to the point where we even find it necessary to debate whether or not it is a sign of apostasy to sign a document in which one asks for the forgiveness of the false god "Allah" and the Islamic community for the Crusades (Yeah, we should have just let Islam take over the world by sword), and the "excesses of the war in the Middle East". (Ditto).

Welcome to contemporary evanjelloism.

No thanks. Not sure what I should call myself these days. "Old School Evangelical"? I suppose that would work.

But just as I had no desire to affiliate myself with evangelicalism as represented by Haggard, I am even more repulsed by the "evangelicalism" of Leith Anderson and Company who have sold out the faith. Yup, I'm referring to the "Common Word" document which included apologies for the Crusades, "excesses" in the war in the Middle East and an appeal to the false god of Islam and the Muslim community for forgiveness.

And of course, they imply that we worship the same God. Nope. No way.

It's my conviction that evangelicalism is more apostate than it was when I wrote that missive so many months ago. Actually, it may be that it has just been given more opportunity to put its' rottenness on display.

The cry back then (about what I had to say) was "No, it's because of you and me. We are sinners. We all could fall like this", which implies "Poor you and me. We just couldn't help it, there but for the grace of God go I, quit beating on Haggard" (which wasn't happening anyway).

That misses the point completely. The point is we are called to holiness. Ted Haggard and Leith Anderson are not the problem per se. The problem is what it was years ago...an unwillingness to know the scriptures, obey them and hold our leaders accountable. We want entertainment.

I'm not up on my politics, and my major in college was in the sciences. But I remember that one reason socialism, communism, etc. overtakes a people is because they get to a point where all they care about is "are the trains running on time".

Brothers and sisters, we have reduced our spiritual concerns down to "are the trains running on time?" We want a comfortable religion. We want paid clergy to do the work. Want music? Hire a worship pastor. He'll do all the work. Don't care about visiting the sick? That's ok, it's the pastor's job. And of course, now it's about making the lost comfortable. So, we cater to the sinful nature of the lost. Else, how will we keep them? After all, they aren't interested in the Scriptures.

Uhm. That's because they are lost....

But that doesn't stop us. No. We gear our "worship services" to draw the unsaved. A church in our town has a large marquee that often scrolls the message "Come Worship With Us!". Never mind the fact, of course, that God seeks those who will worship in spirit and truth...something which the lost cannot do.

Kind of hard to have high standards for holiness when you are trying to appeal to those who have no interest in it. So, the clear proclamation of truth must go out the window. Accountability must go. Discipleship must go. After all, its about the comfort of the Canaanites!

How wretched we have become. And we are paying the price.

The solution? Study the Word. Believe it. Obey it. And, expect your leaders to fit the Biblical models given to Timothy and Titus. If they don't, confront them. Yes, we are supposed to submit to our church leaders but we are responsible for submitting to godly leaders. We need to quit turning a blind eye to those who are supposed to be shepherds but give their sheep stones instead of loaves of bread and live lives contrary to the godly examples they are to be.

So, you profess to be a Christian? What do you care about...the Glory of God through the proclamation of and obedience to His truth? Or do you care more about your spiritual trains running on time? Are you or are you not willing to stand for the truth, regardless of the cost? Yes, it will cost you something as it has me. It has cost me fellowship at at least one local church. This past fall it cost me my job. But it's worth it.

Beloved, the only way to get rid of the disease is the proper cure. And the proper cure is right doctrine and obedience to it. We must have convictions. But not just convictions, Biblical convictions!

You say "but that sounds so hard!" Well, yeah it does. And it is! But what you and I must do is look at that hardness and see it as an opportunity to trust God with it as we obey Him and confront the things we know are wrong.

You say "But I may catch flack!" I say that Paul told Timothy that " Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.." The implication is that if you don't see any resistance in your life, you aren't living a godly one...or possibly even seeking to. You say you are getting along fine with those in the world? That should bother you...or was Paul wrong...or maybe even lying?

Each and every one of us is put on this planet to make a decision. Will you or will you not obey Christ as Lord? Period. End of discussion. What you decide to do will determine the validity of your profession of faith in Christ. No, it doesn't save you. But it does confirm or betray your profession.

So, you want to see the tide change? Then it's time to get off the "train" and start taking a stand.

Evangelicals Rebuke NAE Leaders over Islam Letter

From the Christian Research Network:

"Some prominent evangelical leaders [who] are criticizing the heads of the National Association of Evangelicals for signing a letter to Muslim leaders containing controversial language.

The critical leaders include Dr. Albert Mohler, Gary Bauer, and Dr. Patrick Sookhdeo who voiced opposition to the apology in the letter for the sins of Christians during the Crusades and for “excesses” of the global war on terror, without mentioning Muslim acts of violence..."

Note: NAE President Leith Anderson was asked why he signed the document. His response? "...“There simply was not an easy way to process the complexities of this inter-faith communiqué on short notice." That was preceded by another statement of his which amounts to "Someone who knows more than I do about Islam told me I should do it."

Yeah, that's leadership....

Leith? Let me give you three words..."Just Say No".

Islamic Persecution of Christians

So, we're all happy brothers and sisters....the Muslims and Christians, huh? Well, why not? After all, we've just had a love fest between Islam and America's Pastor, Rick Warren as well as others including Bill Hybels and the President of the National Association of Evangelicals, haven't we?

I'd like a response from some of them on Islamic Persecution of Christians and just when they intend to "love us back".

Let's see. Here's some things they can work on. Click here to read about the following, they (persecution.org) have blocked linking directly to the stories via copyright. But you can read the stories through the index page as of today at least:

  • Women in Basra are being horrifically killed and dumped in the trash for "non-Islamic behavior".
  • Indonesian Christians are under increasing attacks.
  • In Egypt, Islam is increasingly targeting Christians.
  • In Canada, a muslim convert to Christianity receives a letter from his mother stating she will kill him.
  • In England, Muslim "apostates" are being threatened with their lives. One woman told her parents "You said you should kill me, but I'm still your daughter, don't you realize that?"
And that is just a short list of what is going on. A google search is quite revealing...

Again I'd ask each and every one of those falsely so-called "evangelicals" how they can sign such a document as they have and turn a blind eye to the reality of this violent, false and odious religion.

Hey, Warren? On your way to desecrating the temple in the middle of the tribulation (Christianity (thesis) + Islam (antithesis) = One World Religion (synthesis)*) , can you take a moment to give a response? I mean, after all, if you are really "America's Pastor", you can take a moment to answer a question from one of your "flock", can't you?

Oh yeah, that's right. "It's not about us" or those who suffer for the name of Christ. It's about you.

Never mind.
