What a Great Witnessing Opportunity!

Just wanted to publicly give thanks to God for what He has done. You may remember a post from a week ago regarding an opinion piece that a local pastor submitted to our local paper. Well, as it turns out, I did write a response to that article and it has been published as of today. I'm very thankful that the Lord has chosen to use me to get a message out to the public that the area pastors seem determined to suppress.

The paper's circulation is about 14,000 which translates to 42,000 readers assuming 3 people per family. That is a milestone for me! My prayer is that it will be used of God to bring the lost to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

To God be the Glory.

I saw it in the paper! Just keep the prayers out there for this community that needs to hear the gospel presented to them. Thank you for taking the time to respond to Pastor Lee.

Very well done! What an awesome oppertunity and a great response. I'm surprised they published it.

"Repentance and faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ is the Gospel. It is what we are called to obey and proclaim. By the way, do you think you're a good person? Take the 'good test' at www.needgod.com."

Classic!

Thanks, Timm! I was surprised too. I must confess to a bit of cynicism regarding the press. This helped my view of the local paper, at least.

They did make a small mistake in the printed version. They messed up the link to 'needgod.com'. They printed www.needgod.com/www.needgod.com.

Oh well. The right people will figure it out.

I don't expect the article to change any local pastoral minds. My real audience are the ones that God speaks to. I've already run into one Christian who wants to say it's a good article while not agreeing with it. Seeker stuff. They want it both ways and missed the point. I suspect that will happen a lot. But it's about sowing seeds, not changing the minds of those who are already part of the seeker movement.

I'm wondering how many atheists will be saying "Yes, I've agreed with that all along...if you Christians really believe people are going to burn in Hell, how come you don't love them enough to warn them?"

I can only hope one responds to the editor with a statement like that....it would be a louder wake up call than what I could have hoped for.

Thanks Timm,

Tim
